What EDGE is
A standard that measures efficiency against a base building
EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) is an international certification promoted by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, that drives buildings that are more efficient in their use of energy, water and materials.
Through a system of simulation and technical verification, EDGE compares the project with a base building, quantifies the reductions and makes it possible to estimate the return on sustainable investment from early stages.

How Recurso V participates
A coordinated path from assessment to approval
We coordinate the stages of the certification process, from defining the strategy to final submission: documentation, energy modeling, management on the EDGE App platform and communication with the certification body.
Responsibilities, deliverables and review criteria are defined from the start to avoid information gaps. The scope can begin in design, continue through construction and conclude with preliminary or final certification.

What it does
Technical advisory to integrate efficiency measures from the early stages of design. Evaluates savings strategies, documents progress and manages the project in EDGE App through preliminary certification.

EDGE Auditor
What it does
Independent technical audit required by the EDGE program. Validates that the project’s data, measures and documentation meet the system’s standards.

Design and construction verification
The audit is a verification independent of the team developing the project. Knowing that review criterion makes it possible to prepare more complete files from the start.

EDGE certification at portfolio scale
