Leadership and Environmental Performance in Construction
Technical advice and comprehensive management to achieve LEED® certification
At Recurso V, we provide expert support to developers, managers, and technical teams throughout the LEED certification process, from initial planning to the delivery of the final certification. Our experience allows us to integrate viable and cost-effective sustainability strategies from the earliest stages of the project, aligned with the criteria established by the U.S. Green Building Council.
We have more than 15 years of experience and a team accredited as LEED APs in various specialties, allowing us to offer clear, results-focused technical service for all types of projects.
In addition to comprehensive certification management, we offer specialized services such as energy modeling, fundamental and enhanced commissioning, and key credit analysis to ensure maximum environmental performance and an efficient, seamless certification process.
Our approach combines regulatory compliance, environmental performance optimization, and efficient process management, whether for individual buildings or corporate portfolios.
What is LEED®?
LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an international certification developed by the U.S. Green Building Council® (USGBC®), globally recognized as the leading standard for sustainable buildings.
It evaluates the environmental performance of projects in key areas such as energy efficiency, responsible water use, indoor air quality, materials selection, siting, and transportation, among others.
LEED is applicable to a wide variety of typologies: new buildings, commercial interiors, operation and maintenance, industrial projects, education, healthcare, and urban developments.
Through a system of credits and categories, LEED allows a project’s environmental commitment to be measured, validated, and communicated, adding value in terms of efficiency, reputation, and regulatory compliance.
LEED Certification Types
LEED offers different certification systems depending on the type of project, its use, and its stage of development. In Recurso V we help you identify which one best suits your goals:

BD+C – Building Design and Construction
For new buildings or major renovations. Applies to projects such as offices, hospitals, schools, shopping centers, or industrial centers.

ID+C – Interior Design and Construction
For new or remodeled commercial interiors. Ideal for office spaces, retail spaces, or corporate interiors within a larger building.

O+M – Operations and Maintenance
For existing buildings looking to improve their environmental performance in operation, maintenance, and ongoing efficiency.

Homes
For single-family homes, multi-family homes, or entire residential developments. Evaluates energy efficiency, interior quality, and responsible use of resources.

Neighborhood Development
For comprehensive urban developments: neighborhoods, mixed-use developments, or large-scale developments. It combines principles of urban design, sustainability, and connectivity.

Cities and Communities
For cities, municipalities, or communities seeking to certify their policies, infrastructure, environmental performance, and quality of life on a large scale.
Our Services
We offer comprehensive, specialized support throughout all phases of the certification process, with tailored solutions for each type of project:

LEED Certification Process Management
We comprehensively coordinate all stages of the LEED certification process, from strategy definition to final delivery. We guide the team through credit selection, technical and documentary compliance, and coordination with GBCI, ensuring traceability, regulatory compliance, and time and cost efficiency.

LEED Energy Modeling
We perform energy modeling in accordance with ASHRAE 90.1, required by LEED v4 and v4.1 for credits such as Optimize Energy Performance and minimum energy savings compliance. The analysis allows for simulating building performance in operation, quantifying savings, and comparing different design strategies, providing key input for architectural, mechanical, and financial decisions.

Commissioning
We act as the Commissioning Authority (CxA) to meet the requirements of Fundamental Commissioning and Enhanced Commissioning, according to the credits defined by LEED v4 and v4.1. We initiate the process from the design stage, review specifications, verify installations, and coordinate operational testing to ensure that critical systems (HVAC, lighting, hot water, BMS, etc.) operate according to the owner's objectives.
